yesterday everything was perfect,i was happy being employed at a bank, beautiful weather, abundance of food, being spoiled and treated like a king.now, overnight, war started.
the airport is closed (its been bombed),bridges in the south have been bombed, etc…and best of all, they asked to evacuate beirut, they’re bombing it in an hour (not exactly the area of Beirut where I am,but Beirut is smaller than downtown montreal).electricity stations will be destroyed today probably.they surrounded lebanon land and sea (the ports are closed too),we cant get food, fuel, etc. my parents are getting food, and gas for the cars right now while its still available,1 km line ups in front of gas stations.supermarkets are already almost empty, everybody’s saving food.people are going crazy on the streets, everybody looks super worried, all insulting each other and driving like crazy.all the tourists(we had so many )are leaving, by land, through Syria. We’re fucked.
And I might be stuck here,if the airport doesn’t open soon,I wont be able to come back to mtl this summer.u might be wondering what I’m doing on facebook in such times, I’m taking advantage of the fact that we still have internet,we’re gonna lose it in no time. Anyway, please pray for us, cause its very serious this time… god only knows whats gonna happen next.some say it’ll be over, they’ll destroy all infrastructure before stopping, but that they will. I hope so. tonight will determine everything.fuck being born in the middle east. For the last 15 years we thought Lebanon was finally stable. Pih,stable my ass.
